He had the twirling jumper in Game 6 of the 2003 All-Filipino Finals that proved to be crucial as the Phone Pals went on to win the crown. Maybe because of that or his loyalty, the 6-0 guard got a second tour of duty with the team when Air21 released him in the Philippine Cup last season.

Fran’s hardworking attitude and unassuming persona make him likeable not only to his teammates but to the rest of the league as well. Now 33, the former Santo Tomas guard knows that his role is still to sub for Alapag and provide leadership on and off the court.
